Kimberly started out as a youth showing locally in Vermont. With a desire to learn all things   horses, Kim attended Cazenovia College in Equine Studies, doing a double major in  Stable  and Farm Management and Horsemanship.  Earning a riding
scholarship gave Kim a spot on the Intercollegiate riding team
for "Caz". Competing on both the hunt seat and stock seat team,
Kim took home a reserve regional championship in Hunt Seat,
a national championship in Western, was Highpoint Open Rider
in the region and finished 1988 undefeated for the season.
Even though quarter horses were her first love, Kim worked
part-time during college for Kinloch Farm, conditioning two-
year-old thoroughbreds for the track. After hiring on from
her internship with Spike Holmes, she knew showing stock
 breeds was her passion.
Kim moved back to Vermont and formed Kimberly Irish
Training Stable. The next ten years were spent building her
  training business in central Vermont.
With an extensive lesson program and a large show team
traveling every weekend to compete, business was booming
but Kimberly still had her sights set on owning her own farm.
In 1998 Kim purchased Cedar Ridge Farm in Barre, VT.
Cedar Ridge Farm currently offers training, boarding, and lessons to clients of all ages with a strong desire to become true horsemen. Kim believes that it takes patience, dedication and hard
work  to develop a horse and rider.  Never compromising her
beliefs and ethics, Kim consistently produces horses and riders
that are successful both in and out of the showring. A solid
foundation that produces a long-term partner is always our goal.
